How does GPS verification work?

When an employee checks in, GeoTid confirms they are within the defined site boundary (a geofence you set, typically 50–200 metres). Location is only recorded at the moment of check-in and check-out — nothing in between. This gives workers proof that they were on site, and gives businesses confidence that records are accurate.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) as well as bank transfers for annual plans. Invoices are generated automatically for your records.

What happens if GPS signal is weak?

If GPS accuracy is low (for example, indoors or in dense urban areas), GeoTid uses the best available location data and clearly flags the check-in so both the employee and employer can see it. Transparency is built in — nothing is hidden or silently rejected.

How accurate is the geofencing?

In outdoor environments, location accuracy is typically within 5–20 metres using a combination of GPS, Wi-Fi, and cellular data. You can configure the geofence radius for each site (from 50 to 500 metres) to suit different locations and conditions.

Can I export my data?

GeoTid supports exporting time entries, reports, and summaries in CSV, Excel, and PDF formats. Filter by date range, employee, or site before exporting. This makes it straightforward to connect with your existing payroll or accounting tools.

Is my location tracked throughout the day?

No. GeoTid only records your location at two moments: when you check in and when you check out. There is no background tracking, no movement monitoring, and no location history between those two points. Your privacy is respected outside of work.

Yes, fully. We provide a Data Processing Agreement (DPA), practice data minimisation, offer data export and deletion tools, and host all data within the EU. Our privacy policies are transparent and accessible — we believe trust starts with openness.

Yes. Every employee can export their personal data or request account deletion directly from their account settings. We process deletion requests promptly, while retaining only what is legally required (such as time records for accounting) for the minimum period.

Your data belongs to your team. Employers own the business records, employees own their personal data, and GeoTid acts as a data processor — not a data owner. We never sell or share your data with third parties. All data is encrypted and stored in EU data centres.
